NOT FIT FOR SOCIETY

Fashion has always reflected culture. The most influential streetwear brands weren’t built because they simply made great clothing; they became symbols of movements. They found their place within skateboarding, music, art and youth culture, allowing the people who wore them to express who they were before saying a single word.

That idea has always inspired DYSTI.

Founded on 8 August 2023, DYSTI was created around one philosophy: Not Fit For Society. It’s a statement that challenges the pressure to comply with the rules. Rather than encouraging people to fit into the expectations of others, DYSTI exists for those who choose to create their own lane, trust their instincts and embrace what makes them different. The brand believes individuality isn’t something to hide; it’s something to wear proudly.

That philosophy isn’t just the foundation of the label; it’s been the foundation of my own journey as its founder. Starting a streetwear brand at a young age meant stepping into an industry without waiting for permission or the “right” moment. Every collection, event and decision has been driven by the same belief that growth comes from creating your own opportunities rather than waiting for them.

Streetwear has never existed in isolation. Its identity has always been shaped by the creative communities around it. Whether it was skateboarding, hip-hop, graffiti or independent art, clothing became a way for people to identify with a culture and with one another. DYSTI hopes to contribute to India’s evolving streetwear landscape in the same way—by growing alongside the country’s next generation of musicians, artists and creatives, and becoming part of the culture rather than simply selling into it.
